Hello! My name is Tonya Newton and I am a Kindergarten teacher. This will be my 9th year teaching kindergarten at JCPS.  I have a Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia College and State University and a Masters in the Art of Teaching degree in Special Education from Georgia College and State University.  I am married and have 2 children: Aaron is 24 and is a middle school math teacher in Cherokee County.  Evan is 19 and attends Georgia College and State Universiy, majoring in Mass Communication.  I love to spend time traveling and kayaking with my family, and cooking.  I have one dog, Buddy, a 10 year old white pug.   

I am the paraprofessional in this classroom.  This is my second year in Kindergarten at JCPS.
