I am excited to begin 2021-2021 school year.  This is is the beginning of my 31th year in teaching and my 27th year in Jasper County.  Throughout my tenure in Jasper County, I have worked in many different roles.  I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and I am currently a 7th grade Social Studies teacher.

I have earned a Master's Degree, Bachelor's degree and numerous endorsements to add to my teaching certificate.  I love to learn new things and believe that one should learn something new each day in order to be productive.

When I'm not teaching school, I enjoy baking, camping, and spending time with family.  Three golden retrievers demand my time and give me a true understanding to the expression "the dog ate my homework."  My dogs fill the empty nest my children left when they started their careers.

I believe all students can learn when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged through their struggle.  I believe parents want the teachers who care and will help students as they transition from being a child to a young adult. Teaching is about building relationships, parents, and stake holders.  I look forward to teaching this year and BELIEVE we will all experience SUCCESS!
