I graduated with my batchelors and masters from Georgia College in Early Childhood education. I have enjoyed my entire teaching career here in Jasper County.  I started teaching in February 1991, 5th grade.  I taught third, fourth, and fifth grades until 2004.  At that time, I went back to school to earn my Media Specialist Degree.  Since then, I have been the Media Specialist at Washington Park.  For 6 years, I have been the Media Specialist at Jasper County Primary as well as Washington Park. Now  in 2021-22, I am the full time Media Specialist at Washington Park.  Over the past six years, I have been director of Washington Park's afterschool Child Care program called Camp WP. My two children are products of our Jasper County school system which as been a wonderful experience for both of them. As a mom, I am proud of both of my college graduates, pursuing their dreams.  My husband, Matt and I have been married for over 29 years.  We have lived here in Jasper County for 25 years.  I am honored to call Monticello my home.
