B.A. Liberal Studies M.A. Math Education

Mrs. Beth Dignan

I am so excited to be the Math Interventionist for 3rd through 5th grades at Washington Park Elementary School!  I am beginning my 22nd year in education this August.  During my career, I have had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th-12th grades in California, Idaho, and Georgia.  I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development and a Master's Degree in Math Education from Fresno Pacific University.  Currently, I am pursuing the Specialist of Education in Elementary Education degree from Georgia Southern University.  I have enjoyed every one of the past 21 years of teaching and am looking forward to this 22nd year being the best yet!

My family moved from California four years ago and we love living in Georgia!  We enjoy the "small town" life and getting to know our community.  My husband and I have two (adult) children and 3 dogs that keep us busy! We also live just down the street from my brother's family.  We enjoy spending time with each other and living life here.

Each student that enters my classroom becomes part of my "family".  I love the kids that I am blessed to teach and always want them to have a positive learning experience.  It is my goal that students not only learn the content but also grow their character.  I look forward to this year as the best one yet!
