ESOL

  • Hello Parents and Students,

My name is Cheryl Gerber and I will be your new ESOL teacher this year. I am so excited to work with each and every one of you! I will also serve part time as the Gifted Specialist for the school as well.

I have worn many hats in my years as a teacher, most recently serving as the Gifted Resource Specialist for the past 10 years in Henry County. I have also served as an instructor for the Teacher Gifted Certification Program, Reading Specialist, and  Classroom Teacher in grades 1st-5th. I obtained my ESOL Endorsement in 2009 and have worked with many bilingual students over the years.

My family and I are in the process of moving to Newborn at the end of the month and I look forward to a much shorter drive and being a part of the Jasper County Community.

This year I will work with ESOL Students in a pull out program. The schedule is as follows:

    • 3rd Grade: Monday- Friday 2:00-2:45 daily
    • 4th Grade: Monday-Friday 1:00-1:50 daily
    • 5th Grade: Monday-Friday 11:45-12:35 daily

My main goal for the ESOL program is to help students develop language skills necessary to be successful students. I am always happy to help in any way possible.

I look forward to working with you!
