Hola! Bon Jour! Hello! 

Welcome to foreign language class! I am thrilled to be your teacher this year and introduce you to a global mindset! As a child I was always interested in people from other places, and curious about their customs, behavior, and beliefs. This led me to pursue foreign languages in high school and university, and guess what??!? I learned Spanish and French just like you will be learning it: in a classroom! I love to use language in everyday life, and I have spent my adult career in various jobs using languages, including Peace Corps, Dept of Justice projects, the Juvenile Court System, and finally teaching high school. This is my 15th year teaching and my first year here at Jasper County. I am excited to be in Monticello and eager to learn how to be  Hurricane! I am married, have two adult children, and three dogs. I love to read and travel, and have been to Western and Eastern Europe several times, Central and South America, the Caribbean and of course, Canada.  I look forward to serving you this year, and having fun learning and growing with you!
